IF YOU ARE NOT YET 65 …

The main source for information regarding your health coverage is available at NAF HEALTH PLANS and AETNA. Please note that your health coverage with Aetna will basically remain the same as what you have on your date of retirement. The main page for information about the coverage can be found on the NAF Health Plans page by clicking on RETIREES then UNDER AGE 65. This provides basic information to include the cost of the plan if you are not grandfathered for continued coverage.

Coverage information regarding your health plan is accessed from the home page for NAF HEALTH PLANS. On this page there are 3 main headings: Health Benefits, Tools & Resources, and Wellness. The first, Health Benefits, is probably the one you will need the most often. Under this heading is all the information about coverage for the medical plans, Teladoc, pharmacy, dental, vision, etc. You are strongly encouraged to review the information under all the headings.

For example, if you are under the Choice POS II plan at retirement, click on that option under Health Benefits and you will find a Summary of Benefits, The actual Summary Plan Description along with other important information.

The AETNA site has additional information regarding your plan and includes information about plan discounts under Health & Wellness. There are quite a few discounts available such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, and even “at home” items and dental health. While you are there, also check out the Wellness resources at the top of the page.
