If you have a medical provider that is indicating they do not access the NAF Medicare Advantage Plan, please provide the attached document to the provider. You may also contact Aetna directly using the phone number on your medical benefit card and obtain assistance from Aetna – they will contact the provider directly. This applies to any medical providers such as doctors or hospitals.

Some things to remember:

a. The NAF Medicare Advantage Plan is an employer sponsored plan, not an individual advantage plan you purchased.
b. If the provider accepts Medicare, they should accept the NAF plan.
c. No contract is required with Aetna. If the provider had a contract with Aetna, you may receive notice the contract has ended, but that should not impact your ability to use the provider and have the billing sent to Aetna.
d. Billing is simplified by submitting one bill to Aetna and receive one reimbursement.
e. Technically, there is no in-network or out-of-network as you may be familiar.
