When a natural or man-made disaster impacts our Exchange family, assistance may be needed for those affected in the disaster area. The HQ Exchange Human Resources Directorate will assess the situation and determine when to activate the Emergency Relief Fund. They will then coordinate with National AREA to facilitate the collection of donations.
If there is a current relief effort, it will be noted on this page.
For those wishing to contribute, online donations via credit card are preferred. Please be aware that all credit card payments incur an administrative fee of 2.9% plus $0.30. If you’d like the full amount of your donation to reach those in need, consider increasing your donation to cover this fee. Your generosity makes a significant difference in helping our associates during challenging times. Charges will appear as payments to the AREA Scholarship Fund. All payments will be identified as ERF donations by AREA.
