IF YOU ARE 65 OR OVER …
When you reach age 65, if you live in the US, your coverage will be changed to the Medicare Advantage Plus Drug (MAPD) ESA PPO Plan. Information regarding this plan is available on the NAF HEALTH PLANS page by clicking on RETIREES then OVER AGE 65. Under RESOURCES you can find a myriad of information regarding the plan. There is also information regarding SilverSneakers and you can access the various documents that have been mailed to you since the program began. This is a great resource. An additional resource is the Dod/MAPD website found at AETNA MEDICARE. Take some time to review both of these sites.
If you have a dependent under age 65, a separate log in ID and PASSWORD will need to be established as a “regular” member. The dependent information can not be viewed under the Medicare log in. This applies to dental coverage as well, see https://aafesretired.org/benefits/aetna/dental/ for additional information.

Healthy Home Visits – Healthy Home Visit | Department of Defense (DoD NAF HBP) Aetna Medicare. Aetna® Medicare has partnered with specific vendors to offer healthy home visits on its behalf — in the comfort of your home. This program doesn’t replace your relationship with your primary care physician (PCP). Instead, it helps Aetna work with your PCP to manage your care and direct you to the health programs and services you need. There is no extra cost to you.
Teledoc – Teladoc | Department of Defense (DoD NAF HBP) Aetna Medicare. 24/7 access to board-certified doctors. Plan includes a telehealth benefit from our partner Teladoc. Teladoc allows you to speak to a licensed doctor by web, phone or mobile app 24/7 – usually within 15 minutes.
